1998 Honda Accord tranny slips... need advice
#11
How long are you wanting/thinking of keeping the car? How much of the labor are you willing to do?
If you are planing on keeping it for some time, I get it rebuilt or a re-built unit with the proper upgrade(s). While doing that, add an extra trans cooler and then cut the normal service time in half......and personally, ONLY use Honda trans fluid.
Some have driven for a while with the issues....saving money up until they make up their mind.

You'll have to call around for prices.
As I think I said, some have gone a long period of time with the issues before the trans finally gave out.
Again, if and when the new one is installed......I'd add an extra cooler and then change the trans fluid with Honda Fluid sooner than the manual calls for.
