hi, i just bought a 1998 accord lx, 2.3L , 4 door,5 speed (240 000 km) -yesterday, and the check engine light is on, the previous owner said the mechanic told him it was because of the O2 ( oxygen sensor) and that it's not worth replacing, (the car runs great!) anyways the other 98 accord i test drove the guy had the same issue that he just got fixed free from the dealer. I was checking the recall , TSBs on the site but I couldn't find it. If anyone can help that would be great, thanks

First step is to obtain the code causing the Check Engine Light. This will provide a clue to your problem.

I'm not sure the emissions extension to 150K miles applies to 98 models. You are right at that mileage, so i wouldn't drive much further until you know for sure. Hopefully someone else knows the emissions warranty for your model year.
