Default 1999 Accord EX 4cy, only the driver side wiper works

I have a 1999 accord and the passenger side wiper isn't working. Driver side works fine on all speeds. The passenger side slightly moves but its more like a flinch. Is the motor bad? The passenger side didn't seem to be loose

While I've never looked at a Gen 6 Accord wiper assembly, typically there is only one motor attached to a cool assembly of rotating cranks, arms and levers which actuate the spindles the wiper arms are bolted to. I told you that to tell you this; I strongly suspect your passenger side wiper arm isn't bolted to the spindle properly.

Please update us as to your findings.

There's only one motor, so that would make both sides quit together.

There's a linkage connecting the wipers to one another. That has a kind of push-rod that has gotten loose & caused what you see.

But first, remove the center nut at the pivot point of the passenger-side. Is it possible the wiper arm isn't "loose" but it can spin on its shaft? Pull it off, reposition, then tighten. If that's no good you'll have to get into the linkage below.

Thanks for the help. Turns out the motor is fine and everything works, just the wiper arm is stripped out

southbronx, What usually happens in this situation is that the arm has come loose and filled the tiny grooves on the pivot/post with aluminum. If you replace the arm without cleaning those splines you will likely have the same problem in a short time...use a small ,sharp pick to scrape them clean. Many times the same arm works fine after the splines are cleaned
