2000 accord alternator
Just replaced my alternator last week and its working.Later I was talking with a Honda Tech after hours. Hetold an that the my replacement (new not rebuilt) alternator from NAPA will not work, and I should only use the OEM Honda one. Can someone give me some input on this!

maybe non oem parts violate the warranty? I think honda just wants to keep up their sales on replacement parts, they probably don't sell much parts anyways, the carsare justtoo d*** reliable. lol.

That's a load of garbage. Many of the OEM alternators on the 6th gen accords were junk. If you are replacing an alternator on a 6th gen, I would actually recommend going with the NAPA one instead of the OEM one since the OEM one will likely conk out on you again.

RE: 2000 accord alternator
I'm on my 3rd alternator in only 90K. (6th Gen V6)
OEM was sourced out to Delco / Delphi lasted 70K.
Started loosing voltage (dim lights) at idle followed by the start of a bearing like noise.
Replaced with a reman Bosch unit which lasted 1.5 years on a 1 year warranty.
Started getting variable flickering of all lights at idle & up to 1.5K.
Finally installed a new Bosch unit with lifetime warranty.

I only blew out 1 alt on my 6th gen and that was from crossing a 4ga. main lead and ground. Now when I work on systems, I put a spacer in the fuse holder to keep the contacts apart.
