I see Honda accord alternator brush sets available on the web.

Are these for replacing the brushes in the alternator brush holders that go in a 2000 Accord alternators? If so, I am trying to see how it is possible to switch them out.

Or at some point did Honda switch over to just building them into the holder.

I've extended the life of more than one Accord alternator in the past by changing out the whole alternator brush holder. They run betweem $20 and 30. When I saw these brushes for only $2.53 I just thought I'd ask if anyone had changed them out. On the alternator brush holder I have they look like they are firmly manufactured in there - so I'm not sure it is doable on a 2000 Accord.

Any thoughts?
