Default 2000 Accord - Replaced PCM

I would sure like a bite of advice. I have sent in the PCM out of this vehicle. It was tested, fixed and sent back. I installed it as directed and started the vehicle. It started fine but when put in to gear, it started flashing the D4 and I pulled the P1607 code. I called and talked to the company and they say they will replace the module but first want me to make sure that this is not being caused by the "PCU or TCM". Your thoughts on this?

You accord has only one control unit for the engine and transmission. It is called a PCM. Honda started using a combined unit when the went to OBD2 in 1996 (or 1995 V6).

Was this the error code that you had when you first sent in the PCM?

No, it was a p1705 code and it did have a bad shift position sensor that was replaced. The company said that they replaced some capacitors in the unit.

I think that code is for a bad PCM, so you should send back the control unit to get fixed.
