Default 2000 Accord rough on shutdown

I have some knocking in my engine when I turn the ignition off. Any ideas what this might be?

Does it kind of stumble for a second and then die or does it shut right off and just make a noise when it does it? If it stumbles it could be that your timing is to advanced if it's just noisy it may just be valves..... can you explain a little bit more what it does?

The engine shuts down then knocks a few times afterwards.

I would agree to have the timing checked; if that doesn't help a valve adjustment might be the answer.
