Default 2000 honda accord ex

I have a 2000 honda accord ex. It seems to make rubbing noise when i back up, and also when i go to stop. Its hard to describe the
noise sometimes it seems like a dragging noise. We have checked everything possible we can think of. My husband checked the brakes, inside and outside pads, looked okay, no wear on the rotaries. We checked to see if anything was caught up in the guard plate, and still found nothing. We can't seem to find the problem, all help will be appreciated it. Thank you for you time and effort![&o]

Hello New Member..
Welcome to the forums where you will get your help on that Question..

If you stand outside and someone backs up the car for you do you hear the noise in the back of the car or in the front of the car?

Hi,

Thanks for your response. the answer to your question is the noise is coming from the back of the car. Have a great day.

there was an issue with a specific year of car that was around yours... .I can't remember if it was a 2000 specifically but anyway... this issue is that rust builds up between the hub and the rims and causes a funky noise... that specific bulletin was more relavant to turning/high speeds etc but pop off the rear tires and try to clean up the hubs and see if that helps... I'm assuming your husband checked the rear brakes as well?

Check parking brake tension, tire balance, and alignment.
