2001 Accord Turn Signal Issue
I recently bought a 2001 Accord and everything seems to work fine other than the turn signals...Whenever i use the turn signal it will stop if i step on the breaks. Even bigger issue is they don't come on at all if i turn on the headlights. Ive checked the bulbs and went ahead and replaced the ones that looked suspicious, checked the fuses and the turn signal relay and they all seem to work fine. Any ideas?

Weird electrical problems can be caused by poor ground connections. I am not so familiar with the 2001, but there are probably two grounding brackets with several black wires connected. It should be located under the front bumper on the sub-frame. Just remove the bolt and clean off any rust off of the bracket and the bolt.

I have had a different problem, but perhaps this may help.
1994 EX has always had a very slow to respond R turn signal. It will delay up to 20 secs or so on very cold mornings, but will eventually start and once car is warm works OK. It is something to do w/ the switch contacts in the directlional turn signal stem. I pulled the stem and examined to see if perhaps a cleaning or other repair was possible. In the end, I did nothing for fear of damaging the delicate mechanism. It still does this slow response. I know it is the switch because I can partially throw the switch (w/ great care) and bypass the problem.
Perhaps you also have a switch problem. Try manipulating the switch slightly to see if this has an effect.
good luck
