Default 2001 F23A4 Timing Belt Question

Got 195k miles on a 2001 F23A4 motor, interested in doing a complete timing belt job (TB belt, balancer belt, water pump, all oil seals). Did I miss anything? Spent couple hours reading thru the threads got a good handle on what to do but have some lingering questions.

Is the rear balancing shaft (nearest to the fire wall) connected to the oil pump?

On the rear balancing shaft can someone describe to me what oil seal to change. Is there an oil seal directly behind the pulley (if so I don't see a nut to undo) like the front balance shaft. I did see a plate with three bolts behind the pulley, behind that was a o-ring. So the whole assembly can get removed? Is the o-ring the only thing that gets replaced there?

Seems to me there must be some sort of oil seal behind the pulley as well (similar to the crank seal/cam seal/front balance seal).

Pictures would be appreciated.

Are there any other oil seal that need to be replaced. Don't want to have to do the job twice!

Thanks!

Felix

Yes on the rear there is an o-ring - replace it it you have already removed the oil pump.

You want to inspect/replace the idler/tensioner pulleys if they show signs of wear.
