I have a 2001 Accord EX - I took the vehicle to get the code read and I was informed the PCM was bad. I bought a new PCM for the vehicle and I sent it to Honda to have them FLASH the PCM. Now they are telling me that the PCM was meant for an LX model and not an EX model. Does trim level have anything to do with if it will work or not after it is FLASHED??

 

It can have an impact. Suggest using a Honda parts outlet site to look up part no's for both models. Different part no's would indicate a problem.
