There is a long cable that originates passenger side under hood coming out of a piston shaped device, snakes all the way up to the front of the car, goes completely around counter clockwise and ends up going into the intake manifold just adjacent to where the accelerator cable goes.

What the heck is this thing?

It is definitely the Cruise control actuator. Thanks
