2002 Accord V6- ECM or Transmission issue
I have a 2002 Accord EX V6 AT with 149,000 miles.
P1607 code came up.
Never have had issues in the past and all maintenance was done on time.
The CEL and TCS light came on at same time. This only happens on cold days. The car starts just fine but when I put it into D4 the D4 light does not come on and it seems to try to start in 3rd gear. A clunking sound can be heard when shifting into D4. I can downshift to 1st and start off there to get going. After about 20 min of driving around manually shifting if I turn the car off and then back on I can then put it into D4 and the light will come on. Once I am able to put it into D4 there are no shifting issues as it is as smooth as the day I drove it off the lot. Once the car is warmed up there is no longer a clunking sound when shifting into D4. At no time does the D4 light flash.
I am really not sure what to do as this only happens when its cold outside.
Let me know what you think. Should I replace the ECM or is the transmission on the way out.

It was my computer that had an issue. I went to a scrap yard to purchase one for $100 and then took it to the dealership to be programmed. Total cost was about $300. A new computer cost $1,200 so buy a used one. My car runs perfectly now.
