2002 Auto Transmission Slipping
I bought this car new, have been the only driver, driven it normally, never tow, never manually shift and have faithfully done all the maintenance per the manual. It has 112K miles and this problem just started. The transmission is starting to slip when...1) release the gas pedal, coast for a while, then step on the gas pedal, especially in a long sweeping curve...2) climbing a large hill, at slower speeds, while accelerating....3) pressing the gas pedal hard to downshift the upshift on the highway to pass. All of these situations are with the shifter in D4, AC off and not using the cruise control.
It is an 02 Accord 4DR EX, 3.0L SOHC 24 Valve VTEC V6 engine, 4 Speed Auto Transmission with Grade Logic Control (per the sticker). Not a CA model.
Any suggestions and advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
