Hello everyone,
Over the summer, I've noticed a weird noise, like a rattling/cranking noise. It sounds only when I step on the gas after starting my car and then it stops when I gradually step on the gas. Only in gear does it do this. Then if I am approaching a stop sign or a light, stop, and accelerate again, the noise sounds again, but ony briefly. In the summer, I make weekly trips to CT from VT and so I don't know what's going on. I've checked the belts and everything is normal. Also, the noise stops after I drive the car for awhile. Has anyone had this problem before. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

 

Check the Resonator heater cover, its loose. you can take it out or buy the clamps that came with it. Its most likely rusted out

Before I do that, I have to know where it is right....And I have the slightest clue where the resonator heat cover is....can you help me out?
