Default 2003 Accord Low Idle Help Please

My wife's old car, 03' Accord V6 threw a trouble code that was "low idle" or "low idle sensor" Honestly can't remember which. We have since sold the car to a buddy of mine, he was asking what I did to fix it before. My answer was nothing, just reset the light.
What can cause the check engine light to come on? Is there a Throttle Position Sensor? Idle adjustable? Please let me know what to tell him to look for. I'm trying to help him out. Thanks

I think the 2003 V-6 has a motorized throttle, so the "throttle position sensor" might be a software thing. It would be good to know what code it's throwing for him. Actual code number, not some description from the AutoZone counter-guy.
