Default 2003 brake pads wearing out prematurely on one side

i have 4 wheel rotors on my 2003 accord 4 cyl. 2.4L EX-L model. I changed my back break pads and disks 6 months ago because the left side pads were worn out completely even though the right side was still like new. The mechanic told me the left side brake components were not greased properly when doing the previous brake job and that the previous mechanic did a quick job thats why it wore out so quickly. So he greased it and changed the brakes and rotors. He also checked my hand brake to make sure it wasn't siezed.
Meanwhile 3 months later i had to change my rear wheel bearing on that same side because it became too noisy. Also when i turn left once in a while (especially if someone is sitting on that side) i will get a weird screeching sound coming from that area. (even when my brakes were brand new) I though it was the wheel bearing but it wasnt (i changed it) , then i thought it was the brake shield rubbing but it is not. The noise is still there but very rarely.
Any ways i need to change my pads and probably my rotors again because the left side only is near the end and the right side is still almost new
What do i tell the mechanic to make sure i dont have this problem again in 6 month?

2003 Honda Accord EX-L 4cyl. 2.4L v-tec. 4 door, Manual tranny. 4 wheel disks. 225 000 Kilometers

From what you stated about the previous brake job, it may have had a caliper problem due to the caliper slide pin not properly lubed. If the slide pin was badly corroded/pitted, re-lubing the pin may or may not work.

If it was me, first I would get a new caliper slide pin (relatively inexpensive), lube it with high temperature silicone grease (specified for brake components) and try to see if that solves it. If not, then the caliper may need replacement. But, many times a new slide pin is all that is needed. That is why if I see a corroded/pitted slide pin I replace it, instead of just cleaning it a bit and re-lubing (I don't want to repeat a repair again over the same issue).
