2003 Honda Accord Cruise Control
I have a 2003 Honda Accord I4 and the cruise control quit working recently. After removing the air intake I could see that the cruise control cable was no longer attached to the throttle body. After further inspection the cruise control cable is in good condition, including the hammer at the end of the cable, but the plastic piece on the throttle body where the hammer at the end of the cruise control cable clips into is no longer there. After visiting my local Honda dealer, they are suggested that the only fix is to replace the entire throttle body. It is interesting that the regular throttle cable is attached to the throttle body with all metal parts, but the cruise control cable is a much weaker plastic fitting. Does anyone know if there is a fix available that does not require replacing the entire throttle body ($700 fix!)?

I sent a PM but for anyone else...I ended up having the whole throttle body replaced. It cost $320 for the part and $80 for the labor. They do not sell parts individually for the throttle body. A quick and cheap fix would be to superglue to plastic piece back on but I chose the more quality option.

03 Honda Accord cruise control linkage
The cruise control linkage breaking is a common issue on the Honda Accords, so common that Dorman started making a kit to replace the plastic linkage wheel and corresponding springs if needed. The kit part number is 977-100 Dorman. There are a few high quality videos explaining the process step by step on youtube. Just search replacing Honda Accord cruise control linkage. Hope this helps anyone that should stumble across this thread.
