hey. i have a 03 honda accord 4 dr v 6 with 67000 miles. i recently notice that anytime i start it up in the morning when there is condensation it sounda a bit weird and if i was to turn the steering wheel it'll still sound a bit weird and u could feel it on the steering wheel. but after driving for abt 4-5 mins the noise will go away. it only happens when i start it up early in the morning. any idea?

 

Check that you power steering fluid is filled to the top. You car has an automatic belt tensioner, so you should check to see if the arrow on the belt tensioner is out of the marked range. Inspect the belt for cracks too.

 

I think there is a TSB about an o-ring issue on the PS pump....

 

hmm, thank u... i'll check the power steering fluid tomorrow.... if its low and i add some but the noise is still there then its the pump that needs to be changed?
