2004 accord 2.4 auto
After double checking every fuse and load testing every relay I could I find I , I found 1 relay bad . shorted coil on pgm fuel pump relay and replaced, although I heard the pump running! before , go figure .... Thought that was it . What was I thinking ..This car has so many gremlins I should give up and taken to the shop ....Then I did as you suggested and put 2 more gallons of gas in even if it showed 1/4 tank ,,, and bought some start fluid . Tried the start fluid and It tried to sputter . Just by myself I sprayed some in and ran around car to start ,not the best way to go about it,but it worked enough to tell me its a fuel problem. So at least it seems to be .
Q what is the best way to go about checking it out ? I did find a plug in the back of engine not plugged in , think its been that way awhile , Its hard to see and get to . I don't think i did it because it would have not beenessential for what I did to it .. Did not make a difference for starting .
Thinking it would not hurt to disconnect battery for the night for computer reset maybe ? And try in the morning .And start to diagnose fuel problem ..
How many problems can one car have ? cheezeee rt maybe check codes again too. Thanks for the help

Its been a long haul but finally feel like maybe getting some where ...!It really sucks to think this but 1st suspect is a fuel pump because of age a miles ?
And is it likely to run and not deliver fuel and or enough pressure ?

I'm not 100% sure which side of the relay is blowing your tester fuse. You are using different terms than I use, so I want to be sure of the problem. On the relay, there are 2 smaller pins and are the control side of the circuit. The larger (and maybe copper) pins are the load side. Which side is blowing the fuse?
How exactly are you testing the relays? Are testing with the relay plugged in with some sort of adapter, or are you testing on the sockets on the fuse box the relay plugs into with the relay removed? Post a picture of your testing setup if you can.

hello again . the shorted side of relay was the coil , the small connectors . The tester is just a simple circuit 3 cell 12v lipo batt. to power to coil with inline fuse . and a 1157 bulb on contact side . Just to put a few amp load on relay . All other relays work great on it, and could hear relays snap in and light the bulb .
Did the start fluid last night ,,,and it tried to fire a few times ..had nothing before so its sounds to be on fuel side .. Going to try to see if any codes set again as none have so far . Check fuel pressure today . and see if fuel injectors are pulsing . Not sure if they pulse on on key position or start only . Also how to test remotely . ?
Hard to believe It has another problem ! Also is the fuel filter on the pump like others ?

Finally Got it to run ..WHO WOULD OF GUESSED A bad part form the start . The new ignition switch is bad . would crank engine over but not feed power to systems.
Swapped back to old part and it fired right up !. ..Thanks
