2004 Accord Brake lights don't work
#2
Are the brake lights the only bulbs not working in the back?
The brake light switch is working, since the high mount brake light works.
That leaves the wiring, or both bulbs burned out. Unplug a non working bulb. Look at the bulb to see if the filament is broken. If there are more than two wires going to the bulb, then there are multiple filaments in there.
You can also use a volt meter on the brake light bulb socket. With the headlights turned off, and someone pressing on the brake pedal, one of the wires should have 12V to ground. I would find a metal bolt in the trunk area to use as a ground.

How likely is it for both bulbs to burn out at the same time?

Filaments look OK but will will check with VOM

One more thing--I had the front brakes replaced a week ago Saturday. I called Honda and they said that couldn't have anything to do with the brake lights not working.
I'm not the most technical person in the world.... (65 year old lady) but I am trying to avoid going back to the dealership unless I HAVE to ;-)
Thanks,
Jodi
