What happens when swaping out the brain what procedures because the brain in my friends car got in a bad accident and he drove the car like that until he it overheated and the mechanic said that the brain was fried we purchased a used one but the car still won't start what should I do

The car won't start due to the Immobilizer. The PCM/ECM needs to be reprogrammed by the dealership.
