Hi, sorry to make my first post a troubleshooting post, but such as it is we meet. My CEL came on, but no deterioration in performance. Everyone says go to Autozone and they'll pull the codes for free, but that is not the case in my area (Fullerton, CA). So I need to know where the plug is for the scanner? Can I jump the plug to get the codes via flashing idiot lights? If not, what scanner do I need to buy and where?

I am trying to avoid taking this to a stealership and the associated costs that go with that. Car has 53K miles and I do all the maintenance on it.

Wow, 8 views and not a single reply. I guess no one here knows where the plug is for a scanner on an '05 Accord?

 

Its under the driver's side dashboard like on all cars from 1998.

I don't think that there is a way to jump two pins like on older accords. You will have to get a hold of a scanner to read the code(s).
