Default 2005 Accord EX Air conditioner Problem

My air conditioner will not blow cool air. The fans are blowing but only warm air is coming out. Can I purchase feon and do this myself or is this
something that should I take this in and have the air conditioner serviced?
I purchased this car new in 05 and this is the first problem I have had other than the a/c blower fuse I replaced at the beginning of the summer.

This could be a number of things.

Is the compressor coming on? if so the first thing I would do is check the high and low side pressures of the ac system.

Agree w/ PM. Is the compressor engaging sometimes or never?

Compressor engaging is observed by looking an rotating end of compressor. Outer pulley rim always turns and is driven by belt. Inner clutch plate only turns when compressor is commanded On by AC control system.

If it's never engaging, an electrical problem is likely (good news as this is usually easier to fix). Leaks are not uncommon, but systems are pretty robust, except for occasional condensor damage due to rocks flying up.

More info and we''ll be able to help.

good luck
