The battery light (charge system) is probably a separate issue.
Let me get some more information regarding the door lock(s).
With the remote transmitter; other than the driver's door, does the other doors lock/unlock?
When you use the key, does the other doors unlock when you turn the key a second time? (First turn, unlocks only driver's door.)
For the driver's door, does the power door lock work with the door lock switch?

Yes the remote still unlocks / locks the other doors. Yes the key does unlock all the doors at the 2nd time. The power door lock does work but just for the other doors.

Thats what I was thinking, I took off the door panel to investigate also the green plastic piece on the back of the door handle that allows it to open / close broke. Should I start another thread about the random battery light issue?

Ok cool, just to add I was in a small fender bender where I was hit from behind the hit into another car. Minor front end damage to the front left of my car, bent my hood and push some plastics around. Wondering if this is contributing to anything to a short or something.
