Default 2005 Navi MP-3 or not?

I'm awaiting delivery on my car later today, but have read conflicting reports about the Navi's ability to actually play MP-3's or is the memory card only used to update maps - thanks if you know.

You can buy a converter from dICE Electronics or USA-Spec(?) that will alow you to plug in an iPod (with song display and control) or a MP3 player (through a 3.5mm headphone jack).

As far as the navigation unit's hardware, it's a small computer with map databases and software on a DVD. It has no ability to play media or a removable memory card.

I wouldn't be surprised if it CAN. My 2007 Civics can play CDs burned with MP3 or WMA files (like tons of music on one disc). But in the owners manual it talks about the NAVI system (which I don't have) and how there's slots for memory cards that can play music files.

Have you looked in a 2005 owners manual on ahm-ownerlink.com?
