Default 2006 Accord Tourer Oil Query

Hi to everyone,
Just joined the forum along with the purchase of a 2006 Accord Tourer 2.2 Diesel. The car belong a friend, his company car with only him driving so have taken the plunge. It has been fleet serviced at NK Motors Nottinghamshire. I queried the oil they used to carry on with the same as I'm probably going to do at least the oil change myself. They said it would have had 5w 40 Fully Synthetic. I'm finding just phoning round & oil manufactures websites there seems to be different advice, the comma oils site says xtech 5w 30. I need to buy at least a 1 litre top up. I don't want to get this wrong, can anyone help?

Cheers
Graham

Did you get the owners manual with it? Some, here in the US, have the oil spec's listed on the oil cap. Just trying to give some ideas.

Unfortunately, Honda never sold the dlesel in USA, so we have to admit not knowing.

Look on Honda-UK website. See if there's some way to look at an owner's manual on-line.
