2006 Climate/Electrical Problems
no other after market stuff.
yes the blower motor is always on at the moment after going from acc to start/run. It wasnt the exact same problem but there were issues with the stereo the first time out so i bypassed the factory unit for music and continued to use it for climate control. I just did a test from battery (-) to ground to see if there was a battery drain(short) but it looks normal as it is under half an amp. kind of scratching my head now and wondering if there is some kind of problem with the interior fuse box(clicking) or what. I'm having a bit of trouble pulling the dash panels I need to see what's going on in the panel at drivers right foot and the electrical noise. it might just be a relay engaging but the discolored fuses seems weird to me. I was thinking of checking the ground point in that area too, just a matter of getting at it.
Sorry for the long winded responses. A bit frustrated and I really struggle with electrics above all. Not very handy with a multimeter.

The climate control adjusts the resistance on the transistor to control the blower motor. Either your climate control board is bad or the transistor is shorted internally and allowing the blower to run at full speed.
There is a writeup in the common diy thread on top of the gen tech help forum about checking hvac codes on 7th generation accords. Try reading hvac codes.
Also, is your car a v6 or 4-cylinder? Sedan/Coupe, etc.?

It’s a 4 cyl sedan. I’ve already taken those basic steps and I’m already working with a replaced radio/climate unit and a new resistor. I wouldn’t be suprised if either of the components have gone bad again but I think the root of the problem lies elsewhere.
Unfortunately I only have a couple hours a day to get my hands on the car so it’s lots of manual surfing and forum lurking in the interim. Any chance you have a link to the hvac diag you’re talking about? I’ll take whatever I can get.

I think this is what PA is talking about...

thanks for the hvac diag. I ran that and got a fault with the blower motor circuit. Pulled the blower transistor(seems that everyone calls it a resistor) and did some basic metering, it appears to be alright but while its out the fan obviously isn't running continuously as previously experienced. I checked out the fuse box under the driver and pulled the panel to expose all the start/ign relays to try and locate the strange buzzing between run and start on the key positions. Narrowed it down to the ST CUT relay, and after swapping it with known goods was still getting the same buzzy electrical noise. This leads me to believe that the fault may lie back up at the ign switch or if there is a main fuse or relay for the entire starter relay cluster. tearing my hair out a bit but I haven't found a certain problem so that's good I guess. Any ideas?? Thanks for all the help guys.
