2006 Honda Accord P0741
Hello!
For a while now I have had a check engine light on my Honda Accord, the OBD II code I get is P0741. My check engine light came on when I was working on my after-market stereo reverse camera a while back. What ended up happening was the positive and negative wires ended up touching together causing a short, a fuse ended up needing to be replaced and when I turned it back on the new code was there. I once reset everything by unplugging the battery, but it came back on when I went over 40 mph. The only thing I will say is that I notice my Cruise Control won't work, other than that I have not noticed any performance issues with the car. The p0741 code is "Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid Circuit Performance or Stuck Off".
If anyone could give me some input on this issue let me know, Thanks!

Sorry, I forgot to include the information. The wires that touched were the reverse lights. I believe from this photo below it's either the 7th or 21st fuse.
I don't believe it has to do something with the Torque Converter Solenoid itself. I believe it's an electrical fault. Is there a chance it could be the Automatic Transmission Solenoid? (https://www.carparts.com/details/Hon...EPH320707.html)

Since you have a P0741, you should do some tests. It looks like shift solenoid E on the transmission has a yellow wire that should have 12V when the engine is running and in park. I believe this solenoid is engaged when the torque converter is locked up. Unplug the valve and use a volt meter to see if you have 12V with the engine running and in park.
Since you shorted 2 wires, what were the wire colors if you remember? What wires were you trying to modify for your backup camera? You may have something wired wrong.

I will give those tests a go the next time it is warm out (Around Saturday).
The two wires shorted were a black and green wire, I installed an aftermarket stereo to my car and it had the capability to install a backup camera which I ended up shorting the two wires. In the end, I got my backup camera working just with the Check Engine light on now. I do find it very weird as anyone else that has a P0741 code is unable to reverse, drive, etc. and well my car is running perfectly normal as it was before the short.
This video has the exact process I was doing (2 min - 4 min mark)

Now I see what you shorted. The grn wire power is supplied by the multiplex control unit (MICU) in the under dash fuse box. It is possible the short could have damaged the MICU.
I'd troubleshoot the P0741 like it was a coincidence before thinking about the MICU.

That actually reminded me, I also had another OBD II code which was U0155 ( Auto AC Sub Display lost communication with gauge control module, I'm not sure if that has to do anything with the MICU.
I'll keep you updated on what I get from the troubleshooting.
