OK, just checking as maybe the offset might have been wrong, or the tires a little wider than the old ones.

 

Well my mechanic said I need a lower ball joint. He cannot do it because he doesn't have the correct tools for a Honda and so I had to make an appt with a different shop. That different shop says none of the noises I describe indicate a ball joint, and even if . I need it, that's not likely the issue. Meanwhile I can't reproduce the sound anymore. I will know more on Tuesday.
