Default 2011 Accord EX-L - Trunk Cargo Question

Hello All,

I am new and this is my first post.

I recently bought a 2011 Accord EX-L. It's a great car but the trunk is completely barren. I want to add either a cargo net or a trunk cargo system. The dealership sells one which they insist needs to be installed by them. Has anyone installed these things by themselves? Is it really that hard? Doe sit require special tools or something?

I am pretty good with DIY stuff, so if it's at all doable I am pretty sure I can handle it.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks.

This belongs in General Tech. so I moved it.

I put a cargo net into a 95 Integra, it was really easy. I don't know why a 2011 one would be so difficult.

For the 8th gen Accord, it is not hard. But, you need the 6mm rivet nut tool.

Refer to the College Hills Honda for the installation instructions. They also loan the rivet nut tool with deposit.

You can make your own rivet nut tool for a few bucks though, refer to this link:
