2012 Accord- Door locks question
I have a 2012 Accord and everytime I open the trunk and close it, after a few seconds, my doors will lock.
I asked the dealer and they said there is no way to overide this.
I hate this.... has anyone else noticed this? I am afraid if I leave the keys in my car and open the trunk... it will lock the doors and me out!
Any ideas? or fixes?

That's the auto door relock feature, after unlocking the doors with the remote, if you do not open a door within 30 seconds, the doors will automatically relock.
The doors should not automatically re-lock if you did not already lock the car doors, unlocked them, and open a door.

The re-lock feature can not readily be deactivated.
If you don't lock the car after the car is turned off, the doors should not automatically lock. I leave my car unlocked in my garage and it doesn't automatically lock. Only if I previously press the remote to lock the car and then press the remote to unlocked it; but, don't open a door within 30 seconds does it automatically re-lock.
The re-lock feature is different than the automatic locking of the car. For example, the default setting for automatic locking, locks the doors when the vehicle speed reaches 9 mph. The auto locking can be deactivated or changed to another setting; but, not the re-lock feature on 8th generation Accords (2008-2012).
