Default 2013 Accord Airbag S.R.S. issue

Twice so far my S.R.S. dash light has not gone out after the systems test. Have to shut the car off and restart it to clear the light. Had it at the dealer and they found no errors. Did not expect them to since the light was not on but wanted it documented. Last time I had the issue it had been raining a lot so it may be moister related. Documented with two photos.

5/25/13 took the car out for a spin and the SRS dash light is on again. Turn the car off and restart, no more SRS light. No rain this time within the passed few days. Reported to the dealer just to get it recorded.

It has happened again. Get in the car, buckle up, start the car and the SRS light stays on after the system test. The only way to get the light out is to turn the engine off and restart it. In the past I had always put the car in park before turning it off. This time I left the car in gear so ancillary power would still be on. Turned the car off, placed it in park and started it again. After the system test the SRS stayed off. This is the 6th time since purchase and it seems like there is a 2 month period between events . I missed getting a pic of the first time so I'm not sure about the date. Later events are 3/4/13, 5/11/13, 7/20/13 and 9/29/13. I've had the car in with the dealer twice for this but they have not been able to find anything wrong. Spoke to national Honda and was told to drive it to the dealer while the SRS light is on. I have a problem with that, driving with the SRS light on really does not sound like the best idea.

Took the car back to a Honda dealer for one more try to get this fixed. Provided them with the timeline for the SRS light coming on. They did the usual test and came up with no error codes. They then took one extra step, calling National Honda. I was then told they were going to replace the SRS module. That was a Friday afternoon, they did not have the part in stock but asked if I could bring the car back Sunday morning and they would replace the module at that time. What dealer did this fine work, Koons Honda in Manassas Va.

I guess too little too late.....where this thread was, you weren't getting much help. I've moved it to Gen Tech.

But it looks like you have the final answer already...
