If it's not a "New Car Smell," does it happen after you turn off the AC?

Hi... how long have you had your car? I'm going on 4 months now. The smell is still there and the strange taste is still strong. Going to contact the dealer again. This will be the third time I have the car to the shop...Shouldn't have to put up with a smell or taste for any period of time let alone 4 months...

I have tried airing it out... fabreeze... dryer sheets... always drive with the windows down... still so strange and off-putting. Not a fun way to enjoy a new car.

Have you had any luck since it's been a few months???

Yeah as i sit here at my desk my tongue has this nasty chemical taste on it from the car. I have gotten used to driving around with the windows down... that helps. It's a shame that we have to go thru this.

I called the dealer again...They say there is no recall etc. for the smell. The Honda rep is coming in on Monday and he will talk to him...If Honda doesn't say there is a problem then I suppose "there is no problem". Have you taken the car back to the dealer?

Default I know the 2014 is being produced with seat fabric

I know the 2014 is being produced with New seat fabric. must be something to do with the seats. My wife and coworks say it just smells like a new car. I know its not that new car smell. It's a toxic smell.

Any word from the Honda Rep? Mine is at about 60-70% smell now.
I have allergies so i wonder if that is a factor.
