Default 2016 Accord - Remote start not working

I bought this car 2 years ago and the remote start from idatastart has worked fine. In the summer I happened to press a couple of keys on the Honda remote and the car started which I found strange. I wasn't able to duplicate it. It is getting colder her so I attached the idatastart remote to our keychain and tried to start the car. At first the car started but then stopped right away. Now when I press the start button the parking lights just flash. I recently replaced the battery in the car. Any ideas?

I suspect the idatastart needs a reset or has an error code after replacing the car battery. You'll have to find the owner's manual for your specific idatastart and got through the troubleshooting/reset procedures to hopefully get it to work.

I Spoke to tech support at idatastart and they said I need to bring it to the dealer. Something to do with the Security Bypass. I was hoping to avoid this.

I'm getting this error, 3 + 11 Can communication failure Contact Authorized Dealer. Is there anyway to avoid the dealership on this one?
