2018 Accord slushbox problems?
My sister-in-law has ordered a 2018 Accord with the 1.5 engine. Presumably, this comes with the CVT snowmobile transmission. Her brother tells her that there are problems with this drivetrain and that she should opt for the 2.0 engine and ten-speed slushbox. Of course I reminded her that either engine is available with a manual trans, but I doubt that'll fly. What I'm asking is if any of y'all can confirm or dispel rumors that the 1.5/CVT combination is a bad thing in terms of an appliance car? Thanks.
And one more question about my other car. My Vectra C 1.8 VVTI has just got a problem, 58 plate with 40K on. There is a ticking noise from under the bonnet and a loss of power, if you are on the cruise control and come to a hill it slows right down and you have to change down. There are no lights on the dash. The dealers have just rung me and said it is something to do with the cam phasers https://giddyuptx.com/what-happens-w...hasers-go-bad/ has any body else had this problem. They want $450 to sort it out if removing the filters does not work nightmare! Warranty ran out in November.
Has anybody else had this?
