that is a total RIP OFF........they did not even replace air and cabin filters?? and no tranny fluid?? and they charged you $278 dollars ??? WOW.........should be 80-90 dollars tops ..
yep you basically paid for oil and filter change, tire rotation and a visual inspection

you do not need a valve adjust at 20k ,maybe at 60k and only if noisy ,, clutch adjustment ?? and this is a dealership ??
i would talk to the better business bureau cause they billed you for stuff that they did not do ........WOW..
that really makes me mad ,, it gives a bad rep to all the honest shops and techs

you should have them show you how they adjusted the clutch..speaking of which,, is your car manual or AT tranny ??

and 1 final question, did they not give you a price quote before doing the job ??

hmmm, I was assuming V6 MT based on what he was saying but that doesn't sound like a car Hertz would rent...

It's an automatic. They gave me a quote and a time that it would take to perform. It was entirely different after the service. Originally it was going to be around $100.00 and an hour tops according to a quote three days prior on the phone. Took it in and two and a half hours later, Eskridge Honda of Oklahoma City was nice enough to bill me for $279 worth of work.

Personally, I never heard of a car needing the BS they claimed to have done. As far as reporting, nothing will be done about it.

This is why I ask you all now, what needs done and when on an Accord 07 so that I may find a decent mechanic somewhere else in OKC who won't abuse a military guy on a little pay check.

If I know what to watch out for as far as milestones go, I'll make a note to get work done with someone else.

UGH this is a pain in the butt. My 2000 Civic was stolen last weekend and had to get something, bought this, and ****ty expenses keep piling up.

However, I do like the Accord and the way it drives.

V-6 or 4-cylinder?? It matters once you get to 100k for a timing belt.

My 2007 Civic has all the maintenance schedules in a separate booklet, in the owner-manual packet. It's like the maintenance record booklet or something like that. "A" & "B" are oil changes. Everything else is associated with a number, 1, 2, 3, etc. Engine & cabin air filters are on #2.

You can also go to www.ahm-ownerlink.com (Honda Owner's Link) & register there. You should be able to see the maintenance schedules & on-line owners manual in case you didn't get that stuff.

and they charged you for a clutch adjustment..........Now you really have more reasons to go complain to BBB ..........Also if they charged you a different price that they quoted you , you should pay only what they quoted you.......unless they called you and you authorized extra work..

What they did was an oil and filter and tire rotate and a visual inspection ,, like i said 80-90 dollars tops and even that is steep

I would go and talk to the general manager and DEMAND SOME MONEY BACK ..
show him the bill and have them show you how they adjusted the clutch on an auto tranny for 1 thing and the valve adjustment ??? ahy ahy ahy
