Default Question..

I have a 2000 accord with 50k miles
i have never added mods to the engine
it hashadregular maintnance
parked most of the time.
So recently the check engine light came on I had it checked out with the computer. The problem was the o2 sensor on the headers.A friend had a spare one lying around but, the thing is i dont know what year it belongs to.
I put it on anyways and the engine light turned off but after i drove it the engine vibrates as soon asit warms up.
my brother says he washed the engine when the car was runningright after it was done, im wondering if its because of the wash or the unknown year of the sensor.
what do you guys think?
what other years might have the same fit of the sensor to a 2000?

If the sensor was wrong it would most likely give you a code (not a guarantee though), if you havent' already you may consider resetting your ecu to clear the code since there is a new sensor in there.... if you can get the part # off the sensor you could find out what it belongs to and cross reference it... Does it vibrate or make any funny noise prior to warming up?

Default RE: Question..

check all the plug wires and make sure that they are on tight... check for some water in the distributor cap.... It doesn't sound like a sensor issue to me but it's hard to say.... any luck on getting that part number?
