89 Honda Accord LXI Fuel Problem
I have a 1989 accord that I replaced the head gasket on. The problem I have did not do this before I replaced the head Gasket. Do you think it has something to do with the fuel rail I did replace the o rings on it .Since I replaced the head gasket 6 times out of 10 when I try to crank the car its like it flooding with a miss for about 15 to 20 seconds you have to hold the gas pedal down half way to it clears up then it runs find
and some times out of that 6 out of 10 it will just spin over and never hit a lick I mean like it is not fireing .Could someone PLEASE help me find the problem. THANKS

Suggest treating as a no-start when it occurs.
Try spraying 5-10 secs of starter fluid or throttle body cleaner into air intake when no-start occurs. If engine starts briefly, then fuel delivery problem; fuel pump problem likely. If it still won't start w/ starter fluid, then ignition fault is causing no-start; intermittent coil or ignitor, cracked distributor cap/rotor.
good luck
