There are a couple of sensors under the distributor. How many wires were going to the sensor? What were the wire color(s)? What was the color of the plastic electrical connector?

well there are 3 of them near the ditributor.....the only one that matched the size of the sensor i purchased from auotzone was the one directly under the distributor....seems like there is a pre coolant intake sensor and a post...one from the lower heater hose and one on the upper heater hose.....those 2 sensors were way bigger but the plugs were the same. If it helps i replaced the one next to the sensor that sends the temp to the dash. Hopefully if i can find out what the problem is since its not this sensor than my car will start when its cold outside...and not take 10 minutes to get running.

So the sensor you replaced had a two wire connector going to it?
