91 accord lx, how to advance timing???
Hi all,
I have a 91 accord lx, 2.2l fi and I have installed a hydrogen booster to improve gas milieage. Problem is that I need to advance the timing a bit in order to get a better burn. The H2O ignites faster, blasting the fuel into a fine mist, which burns better.
Question is, how do I advance the ignition timing? Can I turn the dist a bit? Which way, clockwise or counter clockwise to advance the timing?
Have spent a couple weeks (wasted) looking for help on this issue. Every single article says (according to manufacture specs), but nowhere can I find which direction to turn the dist. Even Chilton is useless in this. Just says the same thing. UGH!
Help would be greatly appreciated. Cant afford the fuel pump prices anymore.
When and if this all works, I will share it with the forums.
Thanks in advance.

you do realize that the kit you bought is a gimmick, right? advancing the timing will change the way the engine runs regardless of the kit.
anyway i wanna say pulling the distributor towards you will advance the timing.

The hydrogen is not meant to replace the fuel. Just make it burn better. Thats all. It ignites sooner, blasting the fuel into a finer mist, then igniting it fully. I am saving 5% on gas already with no other mods.
Anyway, thanks for the info. Helps a lot.
