Default 91 accord tach jumping NEED HELP THX

so i have a 1991 honda accord, 4 cylinder, that hasn't run for a bit and i need help fixing it. it doesn't run but when you're lucky enough to get it to start the tach jumps like crazy and its all out of time, not sure whats going on. last thing i did was replace the distributor on it, not sure what happened to cause it, it was just a daily driver, then one day it wouldn't go. any help would be very much appreciated, and any valid ideas or points that i can do to get feedback to someone who knows, much appreciated, thanks. James

I would suspect some of the spark plug leads are misplaced and/or the spark plug leads are allowing spark to short to ground somewhere. A bad distributor cap or rotor can cause similar problems. The jumpy tach indicates spark problems.

good luck
