I have a 91 honda accord ex and i am trying to get the a/c and heat control in the dash out. The fan control **** is broken off and you can pull it in and out of the control. I turned the temperature control know to warm and then turned it back to cold one day and it felt like it locked up or something then got really loose. Now it just kind of spins free. I was just wondering if there is any easy way to get this control box out?
I started to take the dash apart already but i didnt want to break the dash panel that covers everything

Do you mean the temperature control **** is broken? This can be replaced easily. Check ebay for replacements.

If the control stem w/o the **** to the heat/AC control panel is damaged and turnes very easily, something is damaged and replacement control panel is likely the fix.
