Question 95 Honda a/c not cooling

The honda dealer replaced the heater control valve and thermostat, flushed the coolant and told me to have the a/c bled and checked for freon. I just did that at my neighborhood mechanic and he said I was 1/2 pd down on freon. But after that, I'm still not getting any cooling. What should I do next? Return to Honda or the local mechanic for what??

For cooling the compressor must be running. Look at face of compressor and see if compressor clutch plate is engaged and turning.

If not turning, then an electrical problem or mechanical problem that must be addressed.

If turning, then charge is low or expansion valve is defective. Hi/Lo system pressures must be obtained to determine what's wrong.

good luck

Red face a/c

Thanks for your ideas - I took it back out to Honda and it seems the cables that run from the dashboard button control are "stretched" and locked in heat position. So they moved it to the cold position and I'll deal with the cables later.

If you need/want pic's on these cables you can download the manual and adjust these yourself. Sounds like the blend door needed adjustment. Or the **** has a broken shaft, trust me this happens.
