I have the timing set now, but am still at a loss as far as fuel delivery goes, the fuel pump still will not prime when the key is turned to the on position. There are no blown fuses. I guess the next step is to remove the back seat and see what I can find on the fuel pump assembly. Again, the car ran before I took it apart. And the entire engine copmartment has been put back together just as the day I received the car, except with a brand new water pump. Any ideas what my problem may be? grounding issue?

I think that you have to drop the gas tank to get to the fuel pump.

There is an access panel for the fuel level sending unit in the trunk. The blk/yel wire is the voltage wire for the fuel pump. You can attach a volt meter (or test light) and see if that wire gets 12V for about two seconds when you turn the key to the II position.

Read somewhere that the access panel in question is below the drivers side of the rear seat?

On the 92 it might be under the seat. On my 95 its in the trunk.

Looks like the fuel gauge sender is on the right (#31) & the fuel pump is on the left (#62). But it's not clear whether those are under the seat or under the trunk.

If you shorted the starter connection with a wrench, I'd be checking the Underhood fuse box for blown fuses.

The only ones I'm not sure of are those that I cannot see through, none of which has anything to do with fuel, aside from the large abs motor relay, which showed continuity on one set of blades and none on the other.
