Default 92 Accord loses power/throttle respose

92 Honda accord ex w/MT with 190xxx miles. It starts and idles great, and when you first take off, it runs great with full power. When you come to a stop and take off again, it doesn't want to free rev very high, maybe 3 to 4k, and revs very slowly, and has no power when I take off, it still idles fine though. If I turn the key off for a few seconds then restart, the car is fine and back to full power until I slow down of stop again. Its almost like it has dead pedal. It doesn't matter if the car is hot or cold, and there is no CEL. It did this about 4 months ago to my wife on her way to work. I got it home and checked everything over, but I couldn't find anything obvious wrong with it, then it just went back to normal all on its own while I was driving it up and down my street trying to diagnose the problem. Now the problem is back out of the blue and I'm clueless.
I did check for codes and I got what seems to be a code 48, which by my research has something to do with the O2 sensor, but even with a bad O2 sensor, I don't think it would cause this.
I do know it is something electrical and not something clogged, otherwise it wouldn't reset (for the lack of a better word) when I shut it off and restart.

This is my exact car, too. close to same miles, so I'm interested - but can't explain.

Is your car doing the same thing?

If you have a code for the O2, it needs to be addressed.

A bad/lazy O2 can cause issues such as you describe.

Are the rest of the tune up items up to date?

Is check engine light on? There is no obd1 code 48. Code 43 is usually an O2 sensor fault. Suggest reading codes again. There is an initial off, followed by flashing codes; long Flash(2-3 secs) =10 and short flashes (< 1 sec) = 1. So code 43 = F-F-F-F-f-f-f, where each dash is a short pause.

good luck

Or maybe 4 and 8?

4-short
longer pause
8-short
longer pause
repeat...

Well, I have found the cause. I guess I was wrong when I thought it couldn't be something plugged. The car has one of those cold air filter things on it, and has the cone style filter on the end. The little metal cap in the end of the filter came loose and was inside the the pipe. It would occasionally block the airflow through the pipe telling the computer there's no air, so no need for fuel. As for the code 48, I have read through several sites about codes and they all list a code 48, which is for LAF, lean air fuel sensor, which makes sense.

It can be the oxygen sensor, the car possibly can't tell the fuel air mix safely and might go into limp mode
