Default 92 Accord LX AC/Heater won't turn on

I've got a 92 Accord LX and the fan blower won't turn on as well as the AC. I've checked all the fuses (I think) and I think I have it narrowed down to the blower motor however shouldn't the AC click on under the hood even if the blower is shot? When I push the AC button nothing happens. I'm trying to decide if I have two separate issues here or if its just the blower motor or possibly something else. Any help or advice would be awesome. Thanks!

On a limb, haven't done that in a while. There is/was some feed back from the blower to the system, i.e. when the ac is on but the fan switch is off, nothing runs?

The AC switch light should come on and compressor should engage, even if fan blower motor is open. If not, there may be a problem w/ the blower switch (open in all positions). If this is the the case, you should have 12V to the blower, but no ground available to blower through the blower switch (check high speed switch position).

You need a circuit diagram. Suggest using Online Manuals post in DIY forum to download a manual.

good luck

With all the Hondas I've had, the AC will not turn on if the blower is set to ZERO. So there IS something about the blower that will not allow the AC to run. Possibly broken wire at the blower speed control??

W/ blower switch in OFF position ground for compressor is not available. W/ blower switch ON, ground should be available even if blower motor is open. That's my interpretation of wiring diagram.

I've also observed compressor engage w/ blower out.

regards

I would do some electrical troubleshooting with a volt meter to narrow things down.

Unplug the connector to the blower motor located behind/below the glove box. Turn on the blower fan without turning on the a/c. See if you have 12V across the two pins.

When you turn on the a/c with the car running, do both fans on the radiator turn on?

What I was getting at is since the AC doesn't work, maybe the blower problem is in the switch, not the blower motor.
