Im working on a 1992 honda accord station wagon automatic. When idling in park the idle jumps from 1500 to 2500 once in drive it idles normal. Also it wont shift into 4th no matter how fast you go. ANy help will be greatly appreciated thanks

 

Check for codes stored by shorting service check connector (under glove box, blue 2- wire connector). Read D4 light flashes and post flash code (L-long, S-short). Codes are two digits w/ first 10's digit long flash, pause, and second units digit are short flashes. For example LLLL-P-S =41. Multiple codes can be present.
