92 LX with deep clicking noise when turning (not CV Joints)
Original owner told me & showed receipts that the rt/lt axls inlcuding cv boots were replaced 2 yrs ago.
He said that the noise has always been there (noise was worse before changing), he took it back & they replaced the rt/lt axels again thinking they were defective, till now still the same. It has not gotten worse in the course of 2 yrs.
Was just wondering what else could it be? rack & pinion? another axle?
Here are the symtoms:
Sound always comes from the passenger side axle
When making right turn it makes a deep clicking noise (not all the time though).
When making left turn I can barely hear it (not all the time though)
When making full left or right U-Turn i never hear it.
I know when it is the cv joints you can hear it when you make u-turns & that the clicking noise gets worser over time.
Should I just stick to the saying:
"If it aint broke dont fix it"?

i dont know if this is the problem but i had that before when i made hard right turns.... the loud click was coming from the day had a shop install my camber hit...and they didnt tighten the bolts all the way down actually hold the control arm in place so i tighted it and brought it back up their and asked them and they told me that it didnt mess up my camber it was just a "sercurty bolt" incase another bolt came off.... ever since i tightend it... no NOISE verry happy...

i would advise to at least chk all the frt suspension components make sure nothing is worn or loose ( ball joints upper and lower, radius rod, control arm bolts ,, etc etc .)

I took of passenger side wheel for inspection & all suspension components are in good working order. Definetly not the outer/inner CV boots (solid/no cracks).
I noticed that there is a little bit play when i turn the brake rotor (while in Park). Is this normal?
Also noticed where the inner boot connects to the tranny when i turn the rotor I here a slight noise (like a bearing). Kinda like the original noise i noticed.
Could this be the source deep clicking noise when i turn?
What part connects the axle to the tranny?
Is it the axle assembly or is there a bearing in between the axle & connection to tranny?
