Clicking noise when turning left in a 2-nd gear
Accord SE, 2007, 2.4L engine, 5 speed manual, 40k km.
A clicking noise comes out of the frond end of the car when making a left turn (steering locked to the left) in a second gear while pushing gas pedal (i.e. engine under load). There is no noise in any other gear or in the right turn. The noise is there almost since day one when I bought the car brand new in Feb 2007.
Dealer replaced both drive half-shafts with CV joints under warranty but it didn't help. Then the same dealer changed the synchronizer of the second gear and the reverse gear fork (also under warranty) but it didn't help either.
I wonder if anyone had similar problem?
Thank you

I had a 2010 Accord, after 400-600miles I started getting the same sound, I took the vehicle into the dealer the first time and they did not fix the issue. The second time I took it in around 1200 miles. This time they found the issue to be the reverse gear fork. There was an internal spring that had broke. Thankfully it's under warranty, they put a new reverse gear fork in and no problems since. Noise has gone.

Thank you. I just got my car back after leaving it for almost 4 weeks in the dealership. Apparently, Honda knows about the issue and it is probably what they fixed in your car. Somehow they couldn't fix my car's gearbox and after taking it apart 3 times (!) they finally gave up and replaced the whole thing with a new one.
The good news is that Honda rented a car for me for all this period. After driving three different rental cars I realized that I want my Accord back and am going to stick to it for awhile!
